Cells is an American live-action/animated feature film released on August 8, 2014, produced by Northern Lights Entertainment and Paramount Animation, and was distributed by Paramount Pictures. Cells was created by Alex Hirsch, creator of Disney Channel's Gravity Falls, and was the first Paramount Pictures film set inside the human body, where the animated segments have live-action human body backgrounds, and were filmed inside of Tim Allen's body. The film stars Jim Cummings as Dawgamyte Bloodowski and Alex Hirsch as Tylenol Monk-E-Pil, where they live inside the body of Tim Allen as Alexander Mitchel.
The movie received mixed to average reviews, for being a mix of Fantastic Voyage, InnerSpace, and Osmosis Jones, and was a box office success. The movie was rated PG-13 by the MPAA for crude language, bodily humor, and sci-fi action.
