Plot[]

In 1927, The Creator (Bill Nighy) is fired from his job at Warner Bros. In his basement, he takes some backyard animals, and then turns them into cartoon characters who can never age. The Creator is then surrounded by the cops, and he runs away. The Creator's wife transfers the animals to Hollywood, where they become major stars. The Creator's wife goes with them. In solitude, The Creator watches his creations become superstars.

Several years later, Bugs Bunny (Robert Downey Jr.) and Daffy Duck (Steve Carell) are retired superstars living in Maine. Bugs wants more, while Daffy is sour at Warner Bros. for their contracts expiring. Bugs gets a call from Tweety Bird (Nathan Fillion) in which Granny is dead. Bugs and Daffy drive to the funeral. Once there, they greet all their former costars, and then take in Tweety and his pal Sylvester (John C. Reilly).

That causes problems from day one, where Sylvester wrecks the house trying to eat Tweety. Sylvester apologizes, since they don't have anyone to take care of them. This leads Bugs to a flashback how he, Daffy, and the others were orphaned at a very young age by an old man.
